about me

I’m a practical designer. I like things to look really good, and I can get that job done, but my first priority is telling the story clearly. I like to solve puzzles and present straight-forward, relevant, visually engaging solutions.

experience

In my years as a professional graphic designer I have designed and executed hundreds of projects including: logos, business cards, letterheads, brochures, newsletters, newspapers, magazines, books, packaging, billboards, illustrations, annual reports, invitations, posters, banners, price sheets, catalogs, menus, t-shirts, mugs and pens, balloons, and newspaper, magazine and phone book advertising.

In addition, I have worked on web site development, design and coding, and done extensive Photoshop photo manipulation.

I am a former adjunct instructor at Wichita State University. I have taught classes that ranged from basic design principles to design software skills. Currently I am part of a team of instructors that present an annual Creativity in the Arts survey course at Southwestern College in Winfield.

software

I am proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I am currently learning Dreamweaver (this site is representative of my current proficiency).
